  1. Develop and implement research proposals and epidemiological surveillance of disease parasites
  2. Develop and test diagnostic tools for parasite diagnosis
  3. Use molecular technologies to classify and identify disease conditions and pathogens
  4. Build capacity for basic science including molecular sciences and diagnosis for communicable and non-communicable disease
