Young Scientists Bag LSTM Awards

Seven young KEMRI scientists have been awarded 5000£ each (approx. Ksh 926,595) to carry out a research project of their choice by our collaborator the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM).

Hamish Ogston Foundation Platinum Jubilee Early Career Awards Scheme recipients were selected through a vigorous and competitive process that attracted more than 30 applicants.

The recipients include Guya Cyprian Adala, Eddy Obala Agwat, Irene Adhiambo Okando, Samuel Gonahasa, Stephene Onyango Okeyo, Benard Omondi Ochieng and Brenda Lynne Onyango.
