
KEMRI Pledges to Strengthen its Relationship with HJFMRI
September 18, 2019KEMRI – Mahidol University Collaborates on Malaria and Tropical Diseases.
(Above) Prof Yeri Kombe, Director General KEMRI, with Thailand Ambassador to Kenya, H.E. Mr. Cherdkiat Atthakor. The purpose of the visit is to enhance cooperation on malaria and tropical diseases. This is in line with the 2019 Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation on Health Collaboration. Through the collaboration researchers from KEMRI and those from the Faculty of Tropical Medicine of Mahidold University, Thailand will collaborate on specialised diagnostics kits such as LAMP and the Kato Katz techniques for diagnosis of Malaria and Schistosomiasis (Bilharzia).
